Old Tools

Since I seem to be developing a fondness for old machine tools (probably the fault of the Lathe I bought at the start of the kitcar build), I thought I'd put a page up to hold a bit of information about the ones I've bought. If I do/get more I might organise it a bit better.

Southbend 13" Lathe.An American lathe from around the 1940s. They have a big following in the USA, not so much over here. Bought for £250 in a bit of a state, now cleaned up and in use, but a full strip down and rebuild is on the cards, when I finish the car.
Mancuna A2X Drill.Random antique fair purchase! Hand cranked drill press from the 1920s.
Union Drill.Another antique fair, another antique drill. This one's a bit newer, with a proper ratcheted feed mechanism.
